Typography & Form Design

In this experimental typography study, I explored the visual rhythm, structure, and expressive potential of Farsi letterforms, transforming written language into an abstract system of shapes, movements, and compositions. Beginning with interactions between two letters and gradually expanding into compositions of multiple letterforms, I investigated how distinct characters could coexist within a shared space while maintaining harmony, balance, and visual clarity.

The project focused on key design principles including rhythm, contrast, and monochrome composition. Through repetition, variation, and movement, I developed visual sequences that create a sense of flow and tempo. Tonal contrast was used to establish hierarchy and visual energy, while a restrained grayscale palette emphasized depth, balance, and unity without relying on color.

Each composition became a dialogue between tradition and modernity, where the Farsi alphabet served not only as a tool for communication but also as raw material for visual exploration. By abstracting letterforms and reimagining their relationships, I created a collection that celebrates form, rhythm, cultural identity, and the expressive possibilities of typography beyond words.
