Info
Dot & Line (Noghte Khat) was a client project created for an art and architecture conference in Tehran. The concept was inspired by the city's distinctive modernist buildings from the Pahlavi era, an important yet often overlooked part of Tehran's architectural identity.
After researching and collecting visual references, I recreated architectural forms as a custom geometric illustration in Adobe Illustrator, translating physical structures into a contemporary visual language.
The challenge was to create a design that would resonate with a younger audience while remaining connected to the conference's cultural and architectural themes. To achieve this, I focused on a minimal composition, bold shapes, and a limited color palette, allowing the architecture itself to become the hero of the design.
A key element of the project is the custom logotype for Noghte Khat. Since the name translates to Dot & Line, I explored the visual relationship between Persian letterforms, dots, and geometric structures, creating a typographic identity that reflects both the conference title and my ongoing interest in experimenting with the Persian alphabet.
